Further to our previous bulletin, the government has now confirmed that we can re-open on 4
July, subject to some quite stringent conditions.
We are still working on the detail of our re-opening plans, but confirm that we intend to
initially be open on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July, between midday and 8pm. Restrictions
will be in place.
Despite the social distancing requirements being relaxed, we are still working to a 2 metre
distancing policy where possible. There will be signage and floor markings indicating what
you need to do, and printed guidance will be provided when you enter. The main entrance
/exit will be designated an entrance only; with the door on the right-hand side of the Club (as
you face it from the road) being used as the exit. There will be no access from the beach,
although the patio will remain open.
On entry you will need to provide proof of membership. Those members who have renewed
recently will be issued with their cards on arrival. Those who have not yet renewed should
bring their old membership card and can renew at the time (although we would prefer that
you do so in advance).* Please note that we are required to record who has entered the club,
for government “test and trace” purposes.
We are unable to offer a pre-booking service so, depending on demand, you may be required
to wait for a short time outside or return later if we are busy. We are currently reviewing the
latest government advice, and will keep you posted.
